Ultimate Floor 7 Archer Guide (helpful for high cata players too!, includes gear & party searching guide too) (2024)

As I am about to hit 500 floor 7 runs on the new revamp, I thought I should make a guide to let all the new people know how to play getting into this floor as a juju

non

archer. Quick disclaimer, this will be mainly for early floor 7, when you're first getting into it.

Bonus: I'll add a "Ironman" section for a few parts!

For starters
As a player entering floor 7, you normally want:
- Catacombs 30
- SE4+ OV4+ Juju Shortbow (upgrade to soul eater 5 overload 5 as soon as possible.)
- Ancient Necron's Armor 5*
Instead of a Necron's Helmet, optimally you want a Golden Necron Head.
- Secret knowledge, you don't want to get carried (obviously guh)
- Lvl 100 Legendary Wither Skeleton pet
or Lvl 100 Legendary Blue Whale (only if skill issue)

- Catacombs 28-32 (depending how much of floor 5-6 you do)

- ov5 p6 Juju.
(if you're getting into f7 you're going to have a mining setup by then, there's no excuse to not spend 15m on overload 5. Your damage will already be low for f7 due to no necron, you have to be optimal with it. Upgrade with soul eater as soon as possible, it's very powerful.)

- Shadow Assassin Armor 5*
(either SA or tarantula helmet, although pretty sure SA is better)

- High level legendary Wither Skeleton
(Or baby yeti if skill issue, maybe whale if you have it already)

personal experience: never used ehp pet and I never really struggled with survivability, even without a tank.

Items you should have in hotbar:
Wither Cloak Sword
Ice Spray Wand (optional)
Stonk/Eff7/Eff10
Last Breath (for parties only with really bad dps, otherwise not needed)
Bonzo Staff & Jerrychine gun for navigation across the boss fight
Florid Zombie Sword

Getting parties

Entire guide applies to Ironman here too, this is especially important if you're first getting into floor 7 because people will always kick you for SA. You shouldnt be very strict until having Necron armor though.
You pretty much always want to queue yourself. For this part, you should have Skytils' party finder profile viewer option enabled, Cowlection for profile overview
and have NEU for /pv (or any other mod)

Always before kicking someone for being a useless/dupe class, check their gear. They might have set the wrong class.

Watch out for any of the below:

- <8 secrets per run (you usually want to look at secrets per run instead of total, how ever if the average is suspiciously low you might want to check their floor completions or blood mob kills.

- For tanks, make sure they have
a) clearing set
b) jingle bells
because otherwise it may be the average tank non.

- For mages, check for wither impact. Kick if they don't have one. Before some random flames me, when getting into f7 a sceptre is just a sign of someone being broke, (and bad most of the time) not "that it clears faster than hyp." You don't even 1 tap most mobs and take 15 seconds per miniboss.

- Kick any healers that are playing pure healer/are not set on wrong class. Healer is just a broke ****ter attempt at getting into a floor you can't actually do yourself.

- (optional) if you really want competent players you want to also check if they have a full hotbar. I've seen a few people having just a hyp and aotv in hotbar, not even superboom or leaps. it's just a sign of being a bad player.

Clear

Always

clear before secrets. Optimally, you want your whole party to be doing splits. You basically want to checkmark a chain of rooms, and then backtrack getting secrets. Your whole party doing this results in good clears, however I find it funny that 70% of even cata 37+ players still get secrets before clear and end up delaying boss enter by 2 minutes because bomb defuse was at the end of a split.
Boss fight
I will split each phase into parts of roles that you can do as an archer, and add a guide to it.

Green: Easy
Yellow: Medium
Red: Hard
Phase 1

Crystals

Either jerry-chine gun up the wall to get to a crystal, or use the lava on left/right and bounce off of blocks with a bonzo staff. Place them, get back up there and wait until second crystals spawn.
(Thanks FatPigeon- spring boots work too and are very effective.)

Aggro

If your tank isn't tanky enough to survive with a slime hat/is new to the floor and doesn't know how to deal with Maxor, you can do his job. For this, wear a slime hat, befor maxor finishes dialogue stand at the far end of conveyor (laser) and crouch on the edge. As soon as wither skeletons spawn, DON'T MOVE but attack them with melee like a Livid Dagger or a Hyperion which should make maxor aggro on you, also giving life steal. Then you want to sit there until crystals are down. Maxor should automatically get beamed as soon as it activated.

Here you want to damage him SLOWLY, until he's down to about 40% health. If your teammates are fast enough, you can do a Maxor skip, which is not making him angry until second crystals are down and basically one phasing him. However you usually can't get this done in lower cata parties because nobody gets crystals, so at lower level you just want to crystal.

Lazy non

You just want to run around and shoot random wither skeletons if you're like this. Alternatively, you can stand in either of the corners right next to Maxor's energy laser and shoot wither skeletons & maxor when he is at laser.

Clipping to p3
Disclaimer: this is only useful for higher cata parties and can only shave off a few seconds. If anything it could even make the run longer if your teammates arent that good at the floor and would struggle without you.
Usually a mage wants to do this, but an archer can do it too.
I can't explain it nearly as well, so if you want to get this done, you should watch FlameOfWar's video on f7 navigation.

But other than that, basically you want to make a normal ghost block next to a stair ghost block. Then you want to try and "slide" off of the higher part of the stair to the middle part of stair, and if you did it properly you should be in phase 2 early.

Phase 2

Not much to explain here, just clear wither skeletons until Giga Lightning.
You can either pad or crush, should be obvious how to do either of them.

One important thing is if you pad, stand on it so you only lower it by 1. Storm still gets crushed and if you fail you get another attempt at it without having to bring pillar up and down all the way.

Phase 3

Devices

For that, you want to either have someone clip into p3 early and do devices 2 and 3 (check vid above) or just do it normally but it's a bit bit slower. You can also clip to be early for SS to complete it faster.
But for beginners, just run over to devices and if you finish get to gate/pull levers. It's very useful to have a person that does this because well... nobody wants to do devices for some reason.

Terminals

Nothing new here, just run around and do terminals.

Remember to stay near gate when finished, because otherwise if that phase is finished and someone leaps to you, they're likely to die to Goldor due to how speedy he is, unless they bonzo mask/get out in time. But due to losing momentum on leap it can be hard.

Phase 3 Goldor Fight

Here you want to either use one of the side stairs and stonk into blocks to get antikb to goldor's skull spam, or wear a slime hat which is simpler and more effective but less dps.

Phase 4

You shoot Necron, when your screen goes black for a second jump over to mid and keep shooting him (watch out for frenzy please) Shouldn't be hard.

Thanks for reading! If I missed anything lmk in replies.
